The Catalonia Quantum Academy (CQA) is managed by ICFO and comprised of institutions that are part of the CQA, including the Institute of Photonic Sciences, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, the University of Barcelona, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, the Institute of High Energy Physics, the Telecommunications Technology Center of Catalonia, and the Internet Research Center. In this regard, ICFO manages the data obtained through the CQA to process registrations for the training programs offered by the CQA, and may share them with the aforementioned participating entities. The present Privacy Policy will apply to the processing of such data.

Policy Purpose and scope of application

ICFO endeavours to safeguard and protect the privacy and confidentiality of personal data pursuant to applicable laws and implementing regulations (GDPR and Spanish Ley Orgánica 3/2018, de 5 de diciembre, de Protección de Datos Personales y garantía de los derechos digitales).

To help achieve this goal ICFO has drafted this Privacy Policy, which describes how “Personal Data” received from individuals (“Data Subject/s”) is collected and processed, as well as explains the circumstances in which it may be transferred to third parties.

Security. ICFO implements appropriate security measures to help protect Personal Data and guard against access by unauthorised persons. Information storage is on secure computers in a locked information centre and information is encrypted wherever possible.
