Quantum Education Summit 2025 – Travel Bursaries

Overview

Thanks to the support of our partners, the Catalonia Quantum Academy (CQA) will offer Travel Bursaries and free registration for selected students to attend the Quantum Education Summit 2025.

Funding by the Catalonia Quantum Academy will allow up to 15 students to receive a reimbursement up to 500€ to help cover for travel and/or accommodation expenses to attend the Summit, upon presentation of an invoice.

Funding by DigiQ will allow up to 5 students from the DigiQ network to receive a reimbursement up to 500€ to help cover for travel and/or accommodation expenses to attend the Summit, upon presentation of an invoice.

Funding by SPIE will allow up to 4 students from a list of eligible countries (see Eligibility section) to have their flights and local accommodation (4 nights)  for the Summit arranged and covered. Accommodation will be in shared rooms with another student of the same gender

Eligibility:

  • We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to quantum physics, optics, mathematics, computer science, and engineering.
  • Candidates should have an excellent academic record and a demonstrated interest in quantum education topics.
  • Final year undergraduate, Master’s-level and PhD students, as well as early-career researchers are welcome to apply
  • Persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. There are no restrictions regarding citizenship or gender.
  • To be eligible for DigiQ funding, applicants must be:
    • Enrolled in a master’s program at a DigiQ partner institution or Affiliated Partner institution
    • Part of a DigiQ network
  • To be eligible for SPIE funding, applicants must be from one of the following low- to middle-income countries1:

  • Statement of purpose: background, quantum education interests, motivation to attend the event
  • Contact information of a referee

The funding you wish to apply for must be mentioned in the form.

Please apply to only one type of funding, the one that best matches your profile. When relevant, the evaluation committee can decide to consider applications for other bursary types.
